My Asset Allocation - July 2012

Essentially, all of our "investments" are in our tax protected accounts. Our taxable accounts consist almost entirely and are invested in savings accounts and CD's.

Investment allocation:

Domestic Stock    65%

Foreign Stock        7%

Bonds            15%

Cash Equivalents    13%

YTD Performance:

Account 1:    + 7.14% - We are adding to this account on a bi-monthly basis. It is almost entirely invested in equity mutual funds.

Account 2:    + 3.22% - A rollover IRA, I cannot add to this account. Almost all of my Fixed Income investments are in this fund.

Finance Blog is Back

21 months into my life with a little girl, I have decided to commit to restarting my blog. I am planning on completing a weekly blog commenting on spending and the stock market.

France - Can we invade again?

Why not, everyone else has. The only problem would be having to deal with them on a daily basis.

It is going to be a good 2005. On January 1, I managed to get in some golf while living in NYC.

New Cabinet for Bush

Not sure why Bush is replacing his entire cabinet. It seems like there are more resignations than with past presidents. On the bright side, not real scandals with any of the cabinet secretaries.
